Our Vision: Good Science – Good Will

Our Mission: To maximize coordination and integration of activities related to health care associated infection, prevention, surveillance and control for the province of British Columbia, using an evidence-based approach.

PICNet aims to achieve its mission by:

  • Supporting and coordinating initiatives of shared importance
  • Providing knowledge to guide best practices
  • Sharing information, translating knowledge and training experts
  • Coordinating and enhancing provincial surveillance activities
  • Advocating on behalf of all professionals working to prevent and control HAIs in BC.
  • Providing advice on relevant policy and issues
