Advisory Committee
The Provincial Infection Control Network’s Advisory Committee Members are appointed by and represent their Health Authority, professional organization, or discipline. They represent a wide cross-section of professional expertise, and each member comes to the table with specific knowledge and experience in the varied physical and institutional environments across British Columbia.
The role of the PICNet Advisory Committee is to provide PICNet with advice. Advisory Committee Members are appointed for three year terms. Membership includes representatives from the following areas:
- British Columbia Association of Medical Microbiologists (BCAMM)
- British Columbia Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC)
- British Columbia Ministry of Health
- BC Patient Safety & Quality Council (BCPSQC)
- Community & Hospital Infection Control Association - BC (CHICA-VI)
- Environmental Health Specialist
- Public Health
- Infection Control Practitioners/Managers
- Infectious Disease Specialists
- Occupational Health Physicians
- Occupational Health Directors
- One representative from each Health Authority and Providence Health Care
- PICNet Co-Directors (non-voting)
- PICNet Management Office Representatives (non-voting)
- Worksafe BC
